#JustTalk about mental health
29 May 18 - 28 May 19
Health, council and voluntary organisations across Hertfordshire are working together to promote the “Just Talk” campaign that encourages children and young people to talk about their mental health.
Schools are holding special assemblies, Just Talk lessons and inviting guest speakers to share the campaign messages.
Focusing on boys and young men
Several premier league footballers are helping the campaign as research shows the need for a particular focus on the emotional wellbeing and mental health of boys and young men.
National mental health campaigners Jonny Benjamin and Neil Laybourn, are also backing Just Talk. They’re known as the ‘Strangers on the Bridge’ after Neil stopped and talked to Jonny when he was on the brink of taking his own life.
