Community Mental Health Services

The Community Mental Health Services are a community based assessment and treatment service for people suffering mental health problems aged between 18 - 65 years.

Treatment is on assessed needs and can be:-

  • Access to Art Therapy
  • Access to residential services
  • Assessment for hospital admission
  • Carers Assessment, support and advice for carers
  • Family Therapy
  • Individual work
  • Information about Independent Advocacy
  • Services (POhWER)
  • Nursing Services
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Practical help
  • Psychotherapy
  • Support from a Social Worker
  • Treatment from home

Access to the CMHS  is via your General Practitioner (G.P.) or self-referral through the Single Point of Access on 0300 777 0707. Self-referrals will be assessed but contact may be made with your G.P.

The hours of the CMHS are: Monday - Thursday 9am - 5.15pm and Friday 9am - 4.30pm
