NHS 70th birthday celebrations at HPFT

HPFT is marking the 70th birthday of the NHS in style this month with a celebratory concert from the HPFT choir on 4 July and a walk for Windrush on 13 July. Service users, carers, volunteers and staff will also be enjoying cakes and raising a cuppa at tea parties taking place throughout the Trust. Read more...

The heat was on for our Windrush 70 walk

HPFT’s Walk for NHS70 Windrush event on Friday 13 July saw an enthusiastic group complete a 12K route from Waverley Road in St Albans to the Colonnades in Hatfield in hot and humid temperatures of around 30 degrees.    

Windrush Walks are the brainchild of Yvonne Coghill OBE, Director of WRES at NHS England. HPFT was delighted to host and welcome her on the walk, together with Baljit Kaur, Workforce Race Equality Standard Programmes Manager also from NHS England.

Fountain goes blue for NHS 70th birthday pledge campaign

Welwyn Garden City’s landmark Coronation fountain has turned blue for July to celebrate the 70th birthday of the NHS.
