I provide opportunities for all staff members to express opinions and put forward ideas to better improve the pathways for service users"
The primary reason for my desire to be elected as a Staff Governor was because I firmly believe in HPFT, the values which it holds and the work that we do as an organisation. I am proud of the ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating that HPFT has achieved and I feel driven to continue to contribute to the organisation and help maintain and improve it.
Having been in the NHS Workforce for over 40 years my experience within the service and my ability to influence and deliver change helps me to represent you as a Staff Governor.
During my time at HPFT, I have undertaken many training opportunities, leading me to my current role in strategy. Some of the responsibilities of my current role include: management of staff, attendance to MDTs, chairing staff meetings as well providing direct support to staff on an ongoing basis. I believe that my experience contributes to the role of Staff Governor where I continue to provide opportunities for all staff members to express opinions and put forward ideas to better improve the pathways for service users and to deliver improvements in your workplace.
I envisage the role of Staff Governor to be an opportunity to be a voice for everyone who works for HPFT – past, present and future, and to be an effective voice for the ideas, improvements and concerns for everyone who works at HPFT.
