Carer advice and self-help

Carer organisations and advice 

We know that caring for a friend or family member using our services can be overwhelming, but finding the right support shouldn't be. We have strong links with our community partners and work together to increase awareness of services available for carers and share events and courses that support carers to continue caring. 

Signposting to other services:

Carers in Herts
 - offers free advice, information and support to carers of all ages and backgrounds. Find out more about their services, carers passport discount card and carer's events.

Rethink Mental Illness Charity - contact Jonathan.Clack@rethink.org to find out what carer courses/groups are offered locally to you. Rethink Companions Carer service - Companions Carers support offers one to one advice and signposting on all carers issues and the opportunity to attend the “Caring and coping” course.

Carers Trust - The Carers Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom, whether you need local support, financial assistance, or legal guidance, they are there to give the right support for carers. Caring for someone with a mental health condition.
