Carers resources

We provide a range of information that give essential information for carers about their role and how they can get the support they need.  This information can be downloaded below:

  • Carer Handbook: this is our main resource for carers and contains a range of information for carers friends and families of people who have used, are used or might use an HPFT service.

  • Young Carers Mental Health Information: we have worked with young carers living in Hertfordshire to produce a new mental health booklet to help young people get the right information, particularly if they are caring for a loved one who has a mental health issue.

  • Common Sense Confidentiality: this details the ways that we expect our staff to behave to ensure that carers receive as much information as possible to support them in their caring role.

Signposting to other services:

  • Carers in Herts  - offers free advice, information and support to carers of all ages and backgrounds. Find out about their services, carers passport discount card and carer's events.

  • Carers Trust - The Carers Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom which supports carers. It works with a network of partner organisations to help carers with the challenges of their caring roles
