We provide a range of information that give essential information for carers about their role and how they can get the support they need. This information can be downloaded below:

Carer Handbook: this is our main resource for carers and contains a range of information for carers friends and families of people who have used, are used or might use an HPFT service.

Young Carers Mental Health Information: we have worked with young carers living in Hertfordshire to produce a new mental health booklet to help young people get the right information, particularly if they are caring for a loved one who has a mental health issue.

Common Sense Confidentiality: this details the ways that we expect our staff to behave to ensure that carers receive as much information as possible to support them in their caring role.

HPFT Carer Plan 2018-2021: our commitment to carers which is built on the principles of the Triangle of Care. The Triangle of Care brings together carers, service users and professionals. It promotes safety and recovery for people with mental health issues as well as encouraging their wellbeing by supporting their carers. This is the model that should underpin your support from HPFT.
