Allied Health Professionals Day 2018
10 Oct 18 - 09 Oct 19
Monday 15 October marks the first Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) Day. The main aim of the day is to inform others about the wide range of services AHPs can provide and how to make the most of their varied skills. It’s also a perfect opportunity to celebrate the great work AHPs do for service users across Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT).
Around 230 AHPs and assistants work for HPFT in seven different roles:
- art therapist
- music therapist
- occupational health therapist
- speech and language therapist
A social media campaign using #AHPsDay and #AHPsintoaction is happening, as well as an event for AHPs working across the Herts and west Essex Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) at Robertson House in Stevenage.
Sally Judges, HPFT’s Head of AHPs and Healthy Lifestyles said: “AHPs day is an ideal time for us to celebrate and raise awareness of the important contributions our AHP staff make, in so many different ways, to improve the health and wellbeing of our service users.”
