Recovery Week is coming to you

13 Sep 18 - 12 Sep 19

Coinciding with World Mental Health Day, Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) is bringing its annual Recovery Conference to Watford, Hatfield, Stevenage and Ware at a series of events in October.

We’d particularly like people with lived experiences to come along, whether as a service user or carer, as well as mental health professionals, for a day of learning and networking.

The focus is on hope and opportunity - opening doors for HPFT’s Recovery Week, which begins on 8 October, two days before World Mental Health Day.

The Recovery Conference has become an important date in the Hertfordshire health education calendar and aims to promote the support available within the local community. It’s an ideal opportunity to engage with people using local services and their carers, giving them the tools they need to aid their recovery.

Andrew Nicholls, HPFT Head of Recovery and Psychological Services said: “We would very much welcome an opportunity to connect with people from all parts of the community in their local areas and provide an opportunity to really talk about what matters to them in relation to mental health.

“This year we are focusing on hope and opportunity and their role in people’s recovery”.

As well as an opportunity to provide us with valuable feedback about how services can be improved, there will be lots of information available at the conferences for service users and their carers on some positive steps they can take to help themselves.

Please save the date and book now via the Eventbrite links above or by calling Divya Nair on 01438 730802.

HPFT is planning to offer free transport for people using local services, and carers, depending on the level of demand (service users requiring transport should make sure they tell HPFT their closest town on their registration form).
