Tom Cahill named HSJ Chief Executive of year
23 Nov 17 - 23 Nov 17
Tom Cahill, CEO of Hertfordshire Partnership University Foundation Trust, has been named chief executive of the year at the HSJ Awards 2017. Tom was praised by judges as an authentic and inspirational leader putting service users at the centre of his organisation’s work.
Mr Cahill has overseen major transformation since he took on the chief executive role at HPFT in 2009 - including developing new models of care, new facilities and addressing the trust’s Good to Great strategy.
He also leads the STP for Hertfordshire and West Essex.
The last year has been busy for both Tom and the Trust. HPFT is one of the pilot trusts developing new care models in childrens’ and adolescents’. We also took on specialist learning disability services in Buckinghamshire, have expanded our eating disorder services, set up a street triage initiative set up with the local police and launched a community perinatal team.
