Mental health professionals from all around the UK attended and listened to sessions on Medicines Optimisation in Care Homes, implementing mobile dental unit in in-patient services, fighting the stigma of mental illness, better care for older adults, re-imagining community services and more. They also heard a moving story from a service user of HPFT who explained how recovery is possible and the importance of being shown kindness, support, understanding and gentleness along the journey to recovery.

HPFT’s Dr Tesh Malipatil organised the event and said: “Thanks to everyone who came along. These events are a fantastic opportunity for us to find out about the latest projects and innovations in mental health care for older people up and down the country.”
