Marking Mental Health Awareness Week across Herts and Essex
03 May 17 - 02 May 18
Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust is playing a full role in Mental Health Awareness Week between 8 and 14 May.
There will be a series of Wellbeing Days in Essex featuring stalls hosted by local charities and services. They will be at Harlow College (Velizy Avenue, Harlow, Essex, CM20 3EZ) on Tuesday 9 May; Firstsite (Lewis Gardens, High Street, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1JH) on Wednesday 10 May, and Anglia Ruskin University (Lord Ashcroft Building, Bishop Hall Lane, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 1SQ) on Thursday 11 May. For each event doors will be open to the public from 10am till 3pm.
The events are being organised by Health in Mind in partnership with Mid and North Essex Mind (Colchester); Health in Mind (Mid Essex Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) in partnership with Mid and North Essex Mind and the Centre Supporting Voluntary Action (Chelmsford), Healthy Minds (West Essex Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) in partnership with Mind in West Essex (Harlow).
The Wellbeing Service will, alongside charity Mind, be running workplace sessions at GlaxoSmithKline at Stevenage during their lunch hour. This will include a presentation and an interactive activity which will focus on general mental health awareness in the workplace and information about the Wellbeing Service and Mind.
There will also be stalls manned by the Wellbeing Service at Hemel Job Centre, Watford General Hospital, St Albans City and District Council and Stevenage town centre.
The service is also attending two other events on Saturday 13 May - HealthFest in Welwyn Garden City, organised by Welwyn Hatfield Alliance, and the Bump, Baby and Beyond Fair at North Hertfordshire College, organised by charity NCT.
