HPFT colleagues were delighted to be recognised for their research posters at the Royal College of Psychiatrists Eastern Division Conference.

The HPFT team who undertake neurodevelopmental research are based at Little Plumstead Hospital in Norfolk and won 1st, 2nd and 3rd prize in the multidisciplinary teams poster category, and 3rd prize in the general category.

Verity Chester, Research and Projects Associate and RADiANT Network Manager said:

“Our success in the MDT category was a testament to the research culture we have developed in HPFT. Clinicians are constantly encouraged to regularly evaluate their practice against national standards and research. The prize-winning presentations showed representation from every discipline and included both those early in their clinical careers and more experienced clinicians. We were delighted.”

Poster prizes were awarded for:

MDT category (Multi Disciplinary Team)

1st prize - Development and Evaluation of the Norfolk Forensic Community Learning Disability Team

2nd prize - Anticholinergic Burden in People with Intellectual Disability

3rd prize - Hypothyroidism in a Psychiatric Outpatient Population of People with Intellectual Disabilities

General category

3rd prize - Psychosis in Neuro-developmental Disorders: a phenomenological approach.
