Stress Awareness Week 2019

04 Nov 19 - 03 Nov 20

National Stress Awareness Week is 4–8 November and Stress Awareness Day is on 6 November - both were founded by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA).

This year’s theme is “Resilience” which is defined as how we deal with and recover from highly pressurised or stressful situations and experiences. One way of developing improved resilience is by using the NHS five ways to wellbeing. More information can be found by following these links:

October saw the launch of a fantastic new mental health tool called “Every Mind Matters”. It contains lots of advice to help look after your own mental health, as well as information about how to spot the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions. Every Mind Matters also contains useful signposting information to local services, charities and helplines for anyone needing further support. You can get started by answering five quick questions, which are then used to create a free online plan.
