The Beacon is a 17 bedded service dedicated to adult mental health rehabilitation in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
Facilities
The design of The Beacon allows for 14 service users to reside in the main building while offering an additional three beds in a step-down house adjacent to the main building. All rooms have en-suite facilities giving service users greater privacy and dignity. Service users will have support from an experienced clinical team and access to meaningful indoor and outdoor activities.
Therapies and activities
The Beacon makes use of outdoor space, shared communal spaces and a dedicated activity room to offer service users therapeutic and meaningful activities. The unit is self-catering and is ideally situated a short walk from local shops and communities to encourage service users to engage with community activities and to be self-sufficient with shopping.
