Who are the OCD services for?
We provide care for adults (18 years and over) who have moderate to severe obsessive compulsive disorders (including OCD, BDD, hoarding, hair pulling and skin-picking disorders) and for whom these disorders constitutes the principal problem.
We care for individuals who have failed to respond to all available pharmacological and psychological treatments in their local service, and who are extremely severely unwell. The service is positioned at Tier 6 of the NICE stepped care pathway.
We care for individuals with less severe or refractory disorder and is positioned at Tier 4-5 of the NICE stepped care pathway. We welcome out of Hertfordshire referrals, and our staff are pleased to interact with local health commissioners to agree with them the funding of such care in our Service.
