We are pleased to share that the Stay Alive App, developed by Grass Roots is now available in Hertfordshire.

The Stay Alive app is a suicide prevention resource for the UK. It has tools to help keep people safe in times of crisis, details of the emergency or support services to contact in Hertfordshire. You can use it if you are experiencing difficulties with your mental health or having thoughts of suicide or if you are concerned about someone else who may be considering suicide.

  • Personalised safety plan
  • Select personal reasons for living
  • Access relaxing guided breathing exercises
  • Interactive wellness plan for your recovery
  • Advice on how to support someone thinking about suicide
  • A mini-safety plan that can be filled out by a person considering suicide
  • A LifeBox to which the user can upload photos from their phone reminding them of their reasons to stay alive
  • Safety contacts page
  • Strategies for staying safe from suicide
  • Suicide bereavement resources

The app links you directly to local and national support, so you won't need to carry around slips of paper with contact details on, it's all stored there within the app. If the resource isn't listed, simply add in your own.
