Nursing roles at HPFT offer great opportunities to gain experience in a leading mental health and learning disability Trust. A Trust where our values drive all that we do and where our commitment to provide high-quality, safe and effective care ensures that we make a positive difference to all our service users.

We offer our nursing staff fulfilling and rewarding career opportunities, a strong nursing leadership team who will support and guide you, and continuing professional development which will challenge and inspire you. As a University Trust, we have close links to the University of Hertfordshire, providing excellent learning and development opportunities for our nursing staff, as well as strengthening clinical research.

We encourage our staff to be innovative; to challenge the way we do things and to be committed to evolving our care practices. We believe that a partnership between health professionals, carers and service users is the best way to provide excellent healthcare and sustain wellbeing.

We are recruiting newly registered and experienced registered nurses, as well as staff who work in nursing roles supporting registered nurses. We want staff who share our values, who want to be positive role models.

For newly registered nurses we run a highly supportive preceptorship programme which offers an experienced registered nurse as a mentor, monthly study days and plenty of opportunities to develop your skills, knowledge and competency.

For experienced nursing staff there’s a real diversity of roles available – both geographically across the Trust’s area as well as across the services we provide in mental ill health, physical ill health and learning disability.

We want to see compassion, passion and great care from our nursing staff. If you have the right skills and the right approach, why not join our outstanding team. Find out more
