South West – Watford and Borehamwood

Two unique teams

  • Expert, multi-disciplinary mental health teams in Watford and Borehamwood, working with some of the most deprived populations in the county
  • An exciting time in community mental health; we are working more closely than ever with our partners, for example in homelessness and drug and alcohol services

A great job offer

  • Gain experience in working with people with a range of mental health needs
  • Huge benefits such as savings on childcare costs, and salary sacrifice schemes for a new car or bike
  • We support every one of our staff to develop their career within our service and beyond
  • Our small caseload sizes mean we can support service users to move on as soon as they are ready

We are inclusive

  • We value a wide range of experience and encourage applicants who have had a career break or retired, are veterans, and those with lived experience of mental health difficulties
  • We care about our staff’s needs holistically and offer flexible working.

Meet the team

Alex Viazovskis, Health Care Assistant

“The team has been amazing ever since I joined. Everyone is compassionate and takes time, energy and effort to explain how things work, happy to share their knowledge and  experience. It is a pleasure to work with people who are great listeners and are constantly looking for improvement in the service.
The other thing I like is the concern about the service user and recovery, the willingness to ensure that the patients are well and getting the best care.
This was my first job in NHS and I didn't know what to expect, but there is so much training provided,
I was and am able to shadow different professionals in initial assessments that it is such a great opportunity to learn, participate in MDT, referral reviews, team training, meetings and much more! Pleasure to be here!”

It’s a privilege to help people make the changes they want to see in their lives. To plant a seed and help them grow. To work with a human life, someone who is suffering – I will do anything I can to alleviate that. I get to see about three people each day, on site, and I love my job.
