Are you or a loved one on Clozapine?

Following the recent media around the antipsychotic medication Clozapine, we understand that this may have raised concerns.
If you or a family member is prescribed clozapine and are worried, please do not stop taking clozapine without talking to your doctor or mental health team. Clozapine remains a very effective treatment, especially for those where other treatments may have failed. The majority of adverse effects can be minimised or prevented through careful monitoring and understanding what may affect clozapine blood levels.
Service users can also email the pharmacy team: hpft.medsmanagement@nhs.net and a pharmacist will respond to discuss their treatment.
