Her Majesty The Queen – statement from our Chief Executive and arrangements for our services on Monday 19 September

Karen Taylor, Chief Executive of Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust said:

“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. She gave a lifetime of service to the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. Her support of the NHS was unwavering and we will remember her with affection and gratitude. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family who have lost a beloved member of their family, and we offer them our deepest condolences. 

“We understand that people may be distressed by the news of Her Majesty’s passing. If you have been affected, the Cruse Bereavement Support charity is offering dedicated support via its helpline on 0808 808 1677 or online at www.cruse.org.uk  Our therapies website also has general advice and information on self-help, including information on bereavement.”

Our services on Monday 19 September

Monday 19 September, the day of Her Majesty’s state funeral, will be a public bank holiday. If you, a family member or someone you care for, has an appointment in our community services or clinics on Monday 19th, we will contact you to arrange to see you as soon as possible on a different date. If we do not contact you, please assume that your appointment will go ahead, but please do also let us know if you would rather not attend on that day. Our inpatient services will continue as normal, as will our crisis services.
