Happy Birthday HASTS!

This month marks two years since the HPFT Adult Sexual Trauma Service (HASTS) began supporting adults affected by sexual trauma across our communities in Herts.

Over this time, the team has worked closely with local voluntary, community and social enterprise partners, alongside colleagues across health, social care and policing. The team provides trauma‑informed support and therapeutic input for adults who need specialist care following sexual trauma.

To mark the milestone, the team came together to reflect on how the service has developed since it began. The anniversary was a chance to take stock of progress and recognise how the service continues to respond with care and consistency.

Dr Bhavisha Dave, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and HASTS Clinical Lead shared:

“As we reflect on our journey, we’d love to express our heartfelt thanks to all of our service users, carers, and fellow HPFT colleagues who have helped shape HASTS into what it is today; the contributions have made a real difference. We’re proud of all that we've accomplished together over the past two years.”

Looking ahead, HASTS remains focused on listening, learning and providing high‑quality support for adults affected by sexual trauma.
