HPFT shortlisted for prestigious national award

We are delighted to share that HPFT’s People and Organisational Development (OD) Team has been shortlisted for the People Team of the Year at this year’s HPMA Excellence in People Awards.

The HPMA Excellence in People Awards celebrate outstanding and innovative achievements of HR and people management teams across the NHS and healthcare sector in the UK.

Over the past year, our People and OD Team have implemented a new Employee Assistance Programme and expanded our wellbeing offer, supporting colleagues to look after their mental and physical health.

They have also introduced a new appraisal system and launched innovative tools to support managers with recruitment, induction and staff retention.

Additionally, they have strengthened the Trust’s learning and development offer by introducing new training, career and work experience opportunities, and have helped staff to achieve a healthy work-life balance and satisfaction in their role.

The team shares:

“We are passionate about supporting our staff to thrive so that they can deliver great care and achieve great outcomes for people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities.”

The winners will be announced at HPMA’s annual conference on 20 November in Birmingham. We wish the team the best of luck!
