17 Jun 25

We are proud to share that three of our inpatient mental health units – Robin Ward, Albany Lodge and Owl Ward (pictured below) – have all received accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych), reflecting our commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate mental health care.

RCPsych works with mental health services across the UK to promote the highest level of care – this accreditation is a hallmark of excellence, demonstrating that a service meets or exceeds national benchmarks in service user care, safety and staff wellbeing.

If you are supported by HPFT, we want to reassure you that quality and safety are our priority. This recognition draws from outstanding service user and carer feedback, admission procedures, care planning, safeguarding, discharge processes, leadership and more.

Karen Taylor, Chief Executive, shares:

“I am delighted that our commitment to high-quality care has been acknowledged by our recent accreditation of three of our inpatient units. Accreditation is a mark of excellence, and it reflects the tireless dedication of our teams in providing safe, compassionate, and effective care. It’s a powerful reminder of the impact we can make when we work together with a shared vision and values.”

Huge congratulations to the teams at Owl, Robin, and Albany Lodge!
