Trust Consultant Psychiatrist named Researcher of the Year

HPFT Consultant Psychiatrist, Naomi Fineberg, has been named Researcher of the Year in the University of Hertfordshire’s Vice-Chancellor's Awards 2023.

The awards are the University’s prestigious annual awards to showcase and celebrate the inspiring achievements of their staff.

Nominations are made by university staff and students and recognise the amazing work of those individuals and teams whose efforts show outstanding commitment and exemplify the university’s values.

Speaking about Naomi, the University said “Naomi's knowledge is second-to-none and has been recognised worldwide, with collaborations ranging from Australia, through Europe to the USA, and leadership of numerous national and international groups focused on driving forward research in mental health. She is fierce in her determination to drive forward the development of new treatments for people living with a range of anxiety disorders.”

Naomi said: “I am so thrilled to receive this award on behalf of the wonderfully talented extended team of researchers I work with in partnership at the University and our Trust, endorsing the importance the University of Hertfordshire places on health research and advancing the wellbeing of people with mental ill-health.”
