Sign up for 14th Annual Recovery Conference: A Journey of Rediscovery - Finding Hope and Opportunity in Changing Times

08 Oct 20

Undeterred by COVID-19, Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) is coming together over the internet this year, as a community of providers, carers and service users for the 14th annual Recovery Conference.

With a mixture of live and pre-recorded sessions from the world of mental health, learning disability and recovery, this free event is happening on Monday 2 November.

Finding hope and opportunity in changing times

The year’s theme is about rediscovery and finding hope and opportunity in changing times. Attendees can expect honest, challenging and authentic conversations, testimonies and personal experiences as always.

There will be contributions from a wide spectrum of the community which will include personal, academic, professional and clinical perspectives from people of all ages and backgrounds about their experiences during the pandemic. There will also be a variety of sessions providing valuable tips and advice for improving mental health and overall wellbeing.

This year’s theme for World Mental Health Day on 10 October is aimed at making mental health a reality for all – for everyone. A trailer launching the conference will be released on twitter @HPFT_NHS to show our support for the day and encourage people to join this year’s Virtual Recovery Conference - #HPFTRecovery.

Consultant Clinical Psychologist and HPFT’s Head of Recovery and Psychological Services Andrew Nicholls said: “I’m really looking forward to our first ever virtual Recovery Conference. It is an ideal opportunity for us to come together as a community and learn from one another by talking about the challenges we are living with, so that we can support each other better. I hope as many people as possible will join our first ever virtual conference.

“We want to make the conference as interactive as we can, so our panel will be answering people’s questions live on the day. If you have any subjects/questions you would like us to cover, please email them to: hpft.recovery@nhs.net and we’ll do our best to include them.”

Numbers are limited, so please register at the link below as soon as possible to reserve your space.
