13 Mar 24

HPFT’s partnership with charity One Vision has been recognised at an event held by the charity.

Kate Linhart, Deputy Director, Integration and Partnerships, HPFT, was awarded the Community Partnership award. She was presented with her award at One Vision’s International Women’s Day event which was attended by guests including Liz Green, High Sheriff-Hertfordshire, Dean Russell MP and Councillor Aga Dychton- Deputy Mayor.

Angel Munge, Project Officer in the Adult Community Mental Health Service at HPFT, also spoke at the event about her experiences as a black Kenyan woman, through school, work and with her community.

Another award was received by Charmaine Lilly - Community Connector from One Vision for her partnership work with HPFT to improve access to mental health services for BAME communities.

HPFT works with One Vision to try and address inequalities in access, experience and positive outcomes from mental health services. These are grounded in longstanding social inequalities and racism experienced by ethnically diverse communities. One Vision works in partnership with HPFT to reach out to Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities to understand people’s needs and barriers to accessing services and provide culturally accessible pathways of care and community based support.  Collaborating with communities and achieving equality are key commitments within HPFT's Great Together strategy.
