Belinda thoughtfully inspires our service users to connect with nature as an important part of their recovery. Described as, “A shining light on the ward,” Belinda is maximising year-round use of the ward garden to promote the healing properties of nature, at minimal cost and with minimum waste. Belinda has introduced a variety of rich sensory experiences for our service users: from growing flowers, herbs and vegetables, to crafting and cookery activities, using the produce.

HPFT’s Executive Director for Quality and Safety and Chief Nurse, Jane Padmore said: “I’m delighted that Belinda is in the final three for these national awards. It is deserved recognition for her outstanding work to deliver great care and a great experience for our older adult service users on Wren Ward.”
