Showcase shines a spotlight on Trust research

05 Apr 24

At the 2024 annual HPFT Research Showcase at the University of Hertfordshire, the spotlight was on some fantastic research underway in the Trust.

Across neurodevelopmental, old age, general adult, and child and adolescent mental health services, 14 studies were shared with a full capacity crowd.  A key theme in many of the presentations was the voices of individuals with lived experience and the need for the continued coproduction of care.

The partnership between the Trust and the University of Hertfordshire (UoH) enables continued close collaboration on joint research projects and the training and development of the workforce of the future.

“The showcase demonstrated how the voices of those living with the experience of mental ill health rings out loud and clear in our Trust’s diverse and inclusive programme of high-quality research.  We have some amazing research underway and it was wonderful to see such excitement and shared enthusiasm in the room.” said Professor Naomi Fineberg, Medical Lead for Research and Development and Chair of the Mental Health and Learning Disability Research Group.
