A national mental health report on crisis care launched at the House of Commons on 4 February. The All Age Crisis Care Pathways Report has been compiled by the Positive Practice in Mental Health Collaborative in conjunction with the National Collaborating Centre for Mental Health. It features HPFT’s award-winning CAMHS Home Treatment Team which is leading the way in crisis care, by offering intensive support for young people in their home environment, avoiding the need for inpatient admission whenever possible.

HPFT’s Chief Executive Tom Cahill said: “I’m delighted to see the work of our CAMHS Home Treatment team being featured in this latest national report.

“Many of our young people who need mental health support are now receiving high quality care and professional support in their homes whenever possible, which is hugely beneficial for them and their families. The feedback we’ve received about this great new service has been overwhelmingly positive.”
