Consultant and Junior Doctors' Strikes

As you may know, Consultants and Junior Doctors across England are staging a period of industrial action from 7am on Tuesday 19 September until 7am on Thursday 21 September 2023 (Consultants) and 7am on Wednesday 20 September until 7am on Saturday 23 September 2023 (Junior Doctors). Consultants and Junior Doctors in HPFT are taking part in this action and we respect their right to do so.

Our priority is to ensure that we are able to provide a safe level of care for people who use our services and their carers during this period.

We have put in place comprehensive plans to minimise disruption resulting from the strike, but we have had to cancel some non-urgent appointments. If this applies to you, we will have already contacted you and we apologise for the inconvenience. If you have not been contacted and you have an appointment during this period, please attend as planned.

Regardless of any strike action taking place, it is really important that people who need urgent treatment continue to come forward as normal, especially in emergency or life-threatening cases.
