Join HPFT's online Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday 15 July 2020

08 Jul 20

This year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) for Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) will be held online, on Wednesday 15 July, from 6-7.30pm

The AGM is an ideal opportunity for HPFT to reflect on the past year, as well as to share plans for the year ahead, with the communities we serve. An online chat facility will be available for people to ask questions and/or add comments.

The meeting will include a report from HPFT’s Chair, Chris Lawrence, an overview of the 2019/2020 year from Chief Executive Tom Cahill and a presentation about the Trust’s annual finances from Keith Loveman, Deputy Chief Executive and Executive Director for Finance. There will also be an overview of our plans for the year ahead from Karen Taylor, HPFT’s Executive Director of Strategy and Integration, as well as a chance to ask questions during a Q&A session.

This will be the last AGM for Chris Lawrence as HPFT’s Chair. Chris said: “As I reflect on the last six years, I am really proud of everything that has been achieved by everyone at HPFT, not least of which has been last year’s Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission. It is a wonderful reflection of our amazing people and the high standards they consistently achieve.

“Staff at HPFT are driven by our Trust values, which shine through in their dedication to caring for our service users delivering great care and outcomes, as well as in their resilience, especially over recent months. I am confident HPFT will continue its Good to Great journey, building on its achievements, to keep improving the quality of care and services it provides.”

Chief Executive Tom Cahill said: “I hope that people will join us online this year, as we hold our first ever virtual AGM. I’m looking forward to talking about the journey that HPFT has been on over the last 12 months – the highlights and the challenges and in particular, our robust response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am very proud of how our staff responded to the pandemic, which ensured our services remained open throughout and our service users were kept safe.

“We will also share with you our plans and aspirations for the year ahead, including how we are going to continue to provide high quality care and outcomes for our service users. I’m also keen to hear any comments or questions that people may have and there will be an opportunity to put these to us towards the end of the meeting.”
