Celebrating International Women’s Day

We were proud to celebrate International Women’s Day at our Trust Head Office and it was an opportunity for people from across the organisation to come together, share experiences and discuss the impact that women have had on their lives.

This year’s theme is about accelerating action which is about how to make progress on gender equality. Our guest speaker Jasmine Mbye, Founder and Director of the Like Me CIC, gave a fantastic talk and discussed ways of accelerating action and how this can be achieved by identifying the change you want see.

Jasmine spoke about the importance of giving feedback, using respectful language, making sure women’s voices are heard and becoming a mentor to others.

An interesting panel session included colleagues from across the organisation sharing their experiences of influential of women in their lives. There was also an opportunity for networking and the day concluded with a Q and A with the panel consisting of all speakers from the day.
