Chief Nursing Officer visits Ridgeway Academy

Our Chief Nursing Officer Emma Wadey visited Ridgeway Academy in Welwyn Garden City where she met senior school leaders and colleagues from HPFT’s Mental Health Support Team (MHST).

The MHST’s work in more than 200 schools across Hertfordshire providing support to children and young people who need additional help with their emotional wellbeing.

The visit coincides with Children’s Mental Health Week where the theme of ‘Know Yourself Grow Yourself’ has seen young people exploring the importance of self-awareness and expressing emotions through the characters of the film Inside Out.

During Children’s Mental Health Week, HPFT have been out and about visiting schools in Hertfordshire, attending assemblies and delivering workshops and wellbeing sessions to support children’s emotional health and wellbeing. Top tips have been shared daily on Instagram @hpft.nhs so parents and carers can try some of the activities at home.
