HPFT celebrates Viewpoint’s 20-year anniversary

Colleagues from HPFT were delighted to join Viewpoint, in celebrating their 20 year anniversary.

Viewpoint is a Hertfordshire based charity led by people with experience of mental health and/or addiction challenges, to influence change in order to achieve positive outcomes. Viewpoint plays a valuable role in promoting the voice of people using mental health and substance misuse services and have been a longstanding partner of HPFT.

The 20 year celebration was a fantastic opportunity to come together and recognise the value that people with lived experience and partners bring to the work they do.

HPFTs service user and carer council Chair, Len Goff, a Viewpoint member, talked at the event about his own journey and why involvement is so important to him. A number of HPFT’s Experts by Experience (service users with lived experience), also attended, alongside some of our current and former staff.

Kate Linhart, Deputy Director of Integration and Partnerships at HPFT said:

“It was heartening to see so many service users and staff at the celebration, reflecting the valued role that Viewpoint plays. I look forward to our ongoing work with them as they are a key partner in supporting us to deliver our Great Together strategy. We are also looking forward to having the opportunity to support Viewpoint in developing their own strategy and helping to shape the future of Viewpoint.”
