Sally Judges has a long-standing and influential career within the Trust, having joined in 1991 as the Speech and Language Therapist Lead for Adult Learning Disabilities in North Hertfordshire.

Currently our Clinical Director of Allied Health Therapies for the Trust, Sally is also the Allied Health Professions Lead for the Hertfordshire and West Essex Integrated Care System.

Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) play a key role in helping service users to live their lives as fully as possible – a diverse range of AHPs work within the Trust, including occupational therapists, dietitians, art therapists, dramatherapists, music therapists, speech and language therapists and physiotherapists.

Sally is celebrated for playing an impressive role in the representation of AHPs, having also acted as the Allied Health Professions Professional Advisor at Health Education England for the East of England.

Her contributions to the University

Throughout her career, she has made big strides within degree education in the region.

Not only has she played a valuable role in developing four new paramedic degree programmes, but she has also been key in the development of The University of Hertfordshire’s Occupational Therapy Degree Apprenticeship programme.

Sally has shared her thoughts:

“I was stunned when I found out I was being awarded an honorary degree – I would like to say a massive thank you!

“It was a wonderful day, and I was thrilled to witness our first cohort of Occupational Therapist Apprentices graduate too!”

Congratulations Sally!
