HPFT colleagues attend HAWA’s Wellbeing Café launch

13 Nov 24

As a proud partner of Hertfordshire Asian Women’s Association (HAWA) Multicultural Services CIC, HPFT colleagues were delighted to attend the launch of HAWA’s new Wellbeing Café at St Luke’s Church in St Albans.

HAWA Multicultural Services CIC is an organisation supporting women of different backgrounds to connect with others, share skills and make a difference to their communities. The organisation now also offers its services to both men and women.

The Trust is working with HAWA, and other grassroots community organisations, to better understand and respond to the mental health needs of diverse communities. Working in partnership with local communities helps to tackle inequalities by ensuring that people can access the help they need at the earliest point, receive culturally appropriate personalised care and have a positive experience of our services.

The HAWA Wellbeing Café is a new space designed to uplift, empower, and support women in the community. It is a place where women can relax, recharge, and connect with one another, while also providing access to vital support services, workshops, and resources that focus on health, personal development, and community building.
