The conference focused on the impact of current world events and the daily challenges of modern life on people's mental health and wellbeing.

The jam-packed agenda included an opening from HPFT’s Chief Executive Karen Taylor who talked about the importance of being valued, recognised and respected to support your recovery journey.

Other speakers included Jule Repper, CEO, ImRoc, who challenged the conference to think about what it means by recovery. The HPFT Great Together Recovery Strategy was also presented at the event.

A range of workshops took place including Best Practice in Mental Health with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller Communities, Trauma Informed Approaches, the Carer’s Perspective on Recovery and Coproduction and Healing.

Guests were entertained with a performance from the HPFT choir. Other speakers at the event included Eleanor Longden, Clinical Psychologist, Psychosis Research Unit, Liz Weatherley from May Contain Nuts who gave a monologue about invisibility and there was also a panel discussion.

All aspects of the conference, presentations and workshops were co-produced so that the authentic voice of lived experience was heard throughout.
