The Trust was delighted to welcome leaders from across the country to its head office for a Psychological Professions Network development day.

Attendees included Adrian Whittington, National Clinical Lead for the Psychological Professions, alongside members of both the national and regional psychological professions teams. They were joined by experts by experience, Chief Psychological Professions Officers from neighbouring Trusts, and higher education course leads.

With a focus on building “a more psychological NHS”, attendees explored how the psychological professions can strengthen their impact and improve outcomes.

The day provided an opportunity to showcase the exceptional work happening across HPFT. Fiona Roberts, the Trust’s Chief Psychological Professions Officer, shared recent progress including raising the profile of psychological professionals and enhancing collaboration with colleagues across nursing, social work, medicine, allied health professions and pharmacy.

Maggie Rosairo, Chair of the East of England Psychological Professions Network (hosted by HPFT), reflected on the value of bringing colleagues together to consider both current challenges and future opportunities. Discussions centred on how the Psychological Professions Network can continue to strengthen its influence and support improvements in care across the system.
