22 Apr 26

More than 200 colleagues from across the Trust came together at the Head Office for Greater Together – Shaping our Future, a day focused on learning, collaboration and shared ambition.

Colleagues from Hertfordshire, Essex, Norfolk and Buckinghamshire attended in person, with more than 200 additional staff joining online, reflecting the Trust’s commitment to inclusion and connection across its services.

The event opened with a welcome from Chief People Officer Jo Humphries, who described the day as an important opportunity to spend time in each other’s space, to think differently and to learn and grow together as one organisation.

Chief Executive Karen Taylor reflected on the Trust’s achievements over the past year and emphasised that the purpose of the day was to hear ideas, encourage creativity and learn from one another as the Trust continues to evolve.

Throughout the morning, colleagues took part in a range of interactive workshops. These included sessions on the Trust’s approach to keeping people safe, clinical pathways, and neighbourhoods. The neighbourhoods workshop explored the benefits and challenges of the neighbourhood model, alongside the factors that will help support its success for the communities they serve.

Following an opportunity to connect during the lunch break, colleagues attended further workshops in the afternoon. Topics included leading change, daily improvement as a system, and caring for you, too. The wellbeing-focused session explored what helps staff to feel supported at work and where they would like to see greater focus in the future.

The day also included a live question and answer session with the Executive Team, giving staff the opportunity to raise priorities and share reflections directly. Inspiring showcases from the teams at Forest House and the Acute Bed Management Team highlighted examples of innovation and improvement taking place across the Trust.

Greater Together – Shaping our Future reinforced the Trust’s shared commitment to collaboration, learning and continual improvement, ensuring colleagues play an active role in shaping the future of care for the communities it serves.
