Celebrating a decade of excellence at Kingfisher Court

This year marks a significant milestone for Kingfisher Court as Hertfordshire Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (HPFT) celebrates ten years of supporting people in an award winning, therapeutic and healing environment.

To mark the occasion, staff and service users came together for lunch and to play games in the gardens and enjoyed a performance by the HPFT choir. Service users had organised a plant sale and displayed some of the amazing photographs that they had recently taken around the site, representing hope and recovery. Our Kingfisher himself had even had a colourful new makeover!

Since opening its doors in 2014, staff at Kingfisher Court have provided invaluable support to over 6,000 service users, ensuring they receive the highest standard of care during their time with us.

Set within peaceful grounds, Kingfisher Court offers a safe and nurturing environment for individuals in need, with 86 bedrooms across five wards that specialise in acute adult mental health care, assessment and treatment for people with a learning disability and mental health care for older adults who may be frail or vulnerable.

Kingfisher Court has helped us to set the standard for mental health and learning disability inpatient care and everyone who works there has helped create a supportive and inclusive environment where service users feel valued and understood. As we celebrate 10 years at Kingfisher Court, we reflect on the lives touched and transformed by the care provided there and we look forward to many more years of serving the community and seeing service users begin their journey to recovery.
