New NHS England Medical Director for Mental Health and Neurodiversity visits HPFT

The Trust were delighted to welcome Dr Adrian James, NHS England Medical Director for Mental Health and Neurodiversity to HPFT.
Dr James met with our Chief Executive, Karen Taylor, Sandra Brookes, Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer, Asif Zia, Executive Director Quality and Medical Leadership and others.
Karen and the team shared information on what the Trust has been doing across the acute and crisis pathway, along with examples of the great work that is happening across the Trust. Dr James was also shown around our simulation hub – a state of the art simulation facility, with a live demonstration of a suicide prevention training scenario. He also visited our new Mental Health Urgent Care Centre (MHUCC) at Lister Hospital.
