Simulation training supports improved care for neurodivergent children and young people

HPFT are proud to be leading a regional training programme for professionals involved in supporting neurodivergent children and young people experiencing mental health crises.

Funded by the East of England Provider Collaborative, the programme was developed alongside HPFT and delivered through HPFT's Simulation Hub to strengthen support for neurodivergent children, young people and families.

Bringing together professionals from across the East of England and a range of services, the programme uses realistic practice scenarios to help participants explore crisis situations, build confidence and consider how services can work together effectively to provide person-centred care.

Those who have attended so far have shared positive feedback, particularly around the opportunity to learn together and explore complex real-world scenarios in a safe and collaborative environment.

This supports our ongoing regional work to strengthen partnership approaches and improve care for neurodivergent children, young people and their families.
