EROS is a community rehabilitation service working with those who have severe mental illness to improve their quality of life, support recovery, and reduce reliance on crisis and inpatient services.  The team is made up of a range of professionals including nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, a psychologist, a peer support worker, a psychiatrist and support staff. The team supports service users in a way that is tailored to meet their individual cultural and social needs and looks to support independent living.

The Royal College Quality Network works with services to improve the quality of inpatient and community rehabilitation wards, involving staff, service users and carers. Good practice and high-quality care is recognised and services are supported to identify and address areas for improvement.

The team are delighted to achieve this award.

Karen Mills, EROS Service Manager said:

“We are delighted to receive this accreditation This has been the culmination of work over the last 18 months to benchmark our service against best practice. It reflects the very high standards to which the team works to provide the best care to service users and carers. We are particularly pleased to be the first Community Rehabilitation service in the country to achieve Accreditation and would also like to extend thanks to the College in supporting the work that we do.”
