At HPFT, our goal is to empower staff to realise their potential to innovate and improve.

We are delighted to share that 30 HPFT colleagues have completed our CQI Leadership programme, and 12 colleagues have successfully completed the CQI Coaches Foundation certification.

They were pleased to receive their graduation certificates and CQI badges, presented by Sarah Betteley, Chair, Phil Cave, Chief Finance Officer, and Hakan Akozek, Chief Information Officer.

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) is a system of thinking and behaving that helps us to constantly improve – here, we identify opportunities where we could improve, and then use structured tools and techniques to achieve solutions in areas such as service user and carer experience, clinical effectiveness and outcomes, and access to services.

The CQI Leadership programme gives colleagues the opportunity to undertake projects from start to finish, from identifying an area of improvement to developing and delivering potential solutions. The CQI Coaches programme gives colleagues an understanding of CQI, and enables them to facilitate and coach CQI leaders.

By making CQI a priority, we believe that this will help us to achieve our vision of delivering great care and achieving great outcomes – together.
