Lexden Assessment and Treatment Unit Receives Accreditation

HPFT’s Lexden’s Learning Disability Assessment and Treatment Unit in Colchester is celebrating after receiving QNLD accreditation (Quality Network for Inpatient Learning Disability Services) from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
QNLD is a standards-based network that facilitates the sharing of good practice, and engaging staff and service users. A peer review then takes place where high quality care is demonstrated to achieve the accreditation.
A spokesperson for the QNLD Project, RCPsych said: “We would like to congratulate you on your achievement and thank you for participating in the accreditation programme. We know you and the team worked really hard to put together all of the evidence.”
The period of accreditation will be from 5 April 2024 – 9 December 2026.
Dr Sawhney, Consultant Psychiatrist & Deputy Medical Director said:
“We are delighted to receive this accreditation. The programme works with staff and with people who have real experience of using our services to develop the standards, which fits with the Trust’s commitment to putting the people we support at the heart of everything we do. Thank you to the whole team for all of their hard work.”
